Doug and Pam Heuerman opened Doug's Photography in 1989.  For the past  twelve years, they have succeeded in providing Effingham and its surrounding communities with priceless, top-of-the-line portraits. 
     Doug's desire to stay on the cutting edge of professional photography has taken him to various photographers' conventions and competitions all across the United States.  In July, he received two print merits for his work displayed at the Professional Photographers of America convention in Atlanta, Georgia.  These two merits were a welcomed addition to his other forty-two merits from previous years.
     In August of 1998, Doug became a Certified Professional Photographer.  This distinct honor came as a result of his continued education and high level of achievement.  Some of his organizational memberships include:
